Comments: Greetings from the Seattle, WA area! I am an advanced sailor looking for an opportunity to crew on a boat (I have family in Charleston). I own a Santana 3030, laser and Hobie 16. I race my Santana 3030 year-round in the Puget Sound (often single-handed -- with a spinnaker). I have crewed on a Farr 395, Schock 35, Melges 24 and Olsen 25. In 2017, I completed six legs of the Van Isle 360 on the Farr 395. I have knowledge of most workings of sailing vessels (mechanics, electronics, rigging, sails), and I've done boat deliveries, spanning from Alaska to Mexico. Thank you for considering me as crew for Charleston Race Week.

Position: Foredeck,Mast,Pit,Jib Trimmer
Experience: Advanced
Comments: I live near Charlotte, NC. I have 20+ years of racing experience both offshore and inshore. I have raced out of Marblehead-MA, Boston, Newport-RI, Annapolis-MD, Charleston-SC, and currently call Lake Norman (north of Charlotte) home. I have been in every position but am very strong in foredeck, jib and spinnaker trim, and mast. I have raced both PHRF and One Design (asymetric and symetric spin) extensively. Sample of boats on which I have campaigned include J/88, J/70, J/24, Beneteau 310r, C&C 34r, Hunter 29. I have participated in Charleston Race Week on a J/88 previously. I am easy-going but competitive. I get along with most anyone. I am 5'8" 165lbs with a wrestlers build, endurance athlete as well (hence I was put on foredeck). Love to put my energy and experience to work on a boat that is covid safe, fun to spend time with, and has a desire to be competitive. Currently campaign on J/88 - "Spray" (foredeck) and alternate on J/88 - "Alchemy".

Kristen Drew - kristen.drew@gmail.com
Position:
Experience: Beginner
Comments: Hello! I will be in Charleston during race week (from the Seattle area) and would love to get out on a boat if someone is looking for additional crew. I started sailing six years ago in Seattle on a J80 through ASA courses (101 & 103). I consider myself an advanced beginner, as it's only been the last two years that I've been getting out more consistently (cruising and racing on a Santana 3030). I've also spent time on a Sweden 44 (racing), Beneteau 46 (cruising and racing), Norlin 34 (racing) and Catalina 36 (cruising and racing). I'm a beginner at sail trim and I know how to tack headsails and mains. I enjoy meeting new people and new experiences on the water.
