Comments: Hello! Like many I am sure, sailing the A2B is a bucket list item, and I am excited at the opportunity to crew on the Race to Bermuda, or on the return trip is that is available - or both! Although I have sailed the Chesapeake and San Diego areas sporadically for a number of years, 3 seasons ago my wife and I decided to take formal sailing lessons and have completed the ASA101, ASA103, ASA104 and ASA105 (navigation). We have sailed a Beneteau 35 for 2 seasons and currently own and sail a Jeanneau 410 in the Sail.Time program in the Annapolis / Eastport area. As soon as possible I also hope to take the "Safety At Sea" course either through the Naval Academy or another approved US Sailing course. In additional, we charted a 45' catamaran in the BVI this past March where I took the lead roll for the 8 crew on board - another bucket list item. Originally from New Zealand, I have sailing in my blood and at 61 and living on the east coast of the US for 36 years I have burning desire to experience the thrill of blue water sailing. Thanks for the opportunity to participate in such an exciting race. Cheers.

Comments: I'm looking to crew either the race or return trip. I spent 8 years in the US Navy submarine force, and have been sailing for the last 15 years. I have experience chartering on the Chesapeake Bay, in the Caribbean, and in the Mediterranean on both monohulls and catamarans up to 45 ft. The A2B race is something I've been looking to participate to broaden my experience and have an adventure.
