Comments: Hello! Like many I am sure, sailing the A2B is a bucket list item, and I am excited at the opportunity to crew on the Race to Bermuda, or on the return trip is that is available - or both! Although I have sailed the Chesapeake and San Diego areas sporadically for a number of years, 3 seasons ago my wife and I decided to take formal sailing lessons and have completed the ASA101, ASA103, ASA104 and ASA105 (navigation). We have sailed a Beneteau 35 for 2 seasons and currently own and sail a Jeanneau 410 in the Sail.Time program in the Annapolis / Eastport area. As soon as possible I also hope to take the "Safety At Sea" course either through the Naval Academy or another approved US Sailing course. In additional, we charted a 45' catamaran in the BVI this past March where I took the lead roll for the 8 crew on board - another bucket list item. Originally from New Zealand, I have sailing in my blood and at 61 and living on the east coast of the US for 36 years I have burning desire to experience the thrill of blue water sailing. Thanks for the opportunity to participate in such an exciting race. Cheers.

Comments: I am a Catalina C320 owner, and I maintain all of my own systems (diesel engine, electrical, nav/comm, fresh water, etc.). I have sailed several blue water races, to include: 2019 Annapolis to Newport on a J120; scheduled for the 2020 A2B race on a 34' Ericson but canceled due to COVID - we still sailed from Annapolis to Newport and back to Annapolis by way of NYC; scheduled for the 2021 PacCup but canceled; 2022 VicMaui on a Tripp 47, starting in Victoria, Canada and finishing in Maui. I am a fit, affable and competitive 55 year old who can get along with anyone. Most importantly, i will "know my role and shut my hole." My survival at sea is current, and all of my safety gear is packed and ready to go. Let's go win this race!

Comments: I'm a recent college graduate living in Washington DC and am interested in joining A2B as return crew. I'm a lifelong sailor, mostly sailing on Barnegat Bay (NJ) and the Hudson River (NY). I have extensive experience single-handing my Catalina Capri 18 in a wide range of conditions out of Brant Beach Yacht Club (NJ). I also have crewed on a C&C 30MKI (PHRF) and Pearson Ensign (one-design) out of Nyack Boat Club (NY). On these boats, I worked on the foredeck, mainsail trim, and foresail trim. While I don’t have offshore passage experience, I believe I have the sailing skills and physical fitness to perform well offshore. I also am happy to assist with boat-prep leading up to the race. Thank you for your consideration! I'm looking forward to being part of A2B, experiencing offshore sailing, and continuing to learn and strengthen my skills as a sailor.

Comments: Looking to crew in any position, join for any leg of the trip! I sailed in the 2018 Newport-Bermuda race, round trip from Annapolis-Newport-Bermuda-Annapolis, and can't wait to do it again. 27 y.o., certified US Sailing Keelboat Instructor, teaching for 13 years - summer camps, adult basic, US Sailing classes at Belle Haven Marina, VA and Edgartown YC, MA. I grew up sailing on the Chesapeake and do most of my sailing on the Potomac River near Washington DC. Lots of time single-handing small boats (Tanzer 22, Flying Scot, Rhodes 19, Hobie 16, Laser) and a Watkins 32. I've sailed and feel comfortable in winds 0-35kts, and don't get seasick. Other racing experience: Annapolis (Cal 25, Beneteau 40), Edgartown (Rhodes 19, J/70, Hereshoff). Familiar with basic maintenance on boat systems. Active First Aid/CPR/AED.

Comments: Looking to crew in any position. In December I delivered a Hunter 44 from Deale, MD to Exuma. For the past two years, I have been racing Cal25s year round out of Annapolis mostly as the main and spinnaker trimmer, but I am competent at the helm and trimming the jib, too. I skipper Flying Scots in races on the Potomac near DC. For the past two years I have raced with the PRSA Lightning fleet, both as fore and mid-deck. My sailing life started more than 50 years ago on Upper Saranac Lake, New York. Later, I sailed an open pulling boat on Penobscot Bay and did my first crossing from Miami to Bimini in the late 1980s. I took several decades off and returned to racing when I moved to Alexandria two years ago. Fit, fun, and 63.
