Comments: I am 19 years old, have grown up on the CT shoreline, and am now attending the US Coast Guard Academy. I have been sailing my entire life, and racing competitively since I was 13. Throughout high school, I raced dinghies in the spring and keelboats on Wednesdays in the spring and fall. In summer I raced PHRF/ORC as much as possible and was a sailing instructor at a local camp. I have done multiple overnights and multi-day races and deliveries and am comfortable in adverse conditions. I am on the offshore team at CGA. I am racing Newport to Bermuda this year, with a delivery back as well, and have transited from Bermuda once before. I compete annually in the Sam Wetherill, Block Island Race, BIRW, Off Soundings, the Vineyard, and more. I have my Safety at Sea, First Aid and CPR, and US Sailing Level One certifications. I am very experienced on bow and running backstay, but comfortable in other positions as well. I learn quickly and am happy to do whatever I can on a boat. I have experience on: Henderson 30, Beneteau First 36.7, X442, j109, j105, Cape Fear 38, First 36.7, Carrera 280, Elan 31s, Melges 32, Soverel 27, Chance 31, Mills 43, J70's, and multiple other boats. Comments: Hello! Diane here (31 yrs old, 130 lbs). I'm an avid sailor and have been yacht racing for 6 years across the US and Australian east coasts. I've raced a variety of yachts from J70's & Vipers, to Farr40's, XP44's, and TP52's. I consider myself a friendly, energetic sailor, and flexible across many roles [pit, spin trim, jib trim, main]. I love all kinds of racing from Friday night beer-can racing, to super competitive races & regattas.
