Comments: Advanced dinghy sailor/intermediate keelboat crew. 19 years old with 10 years of sailing experience (3 years racing 29er, 2 years racing 505 at north american and worlds, and 5 racing laser). 2 Lake Ontario 300s on a beneteau 36.7, including a 3rd place finish. Crew weekly on a first 36.7 at the mast and have crewed in shark and j/24 regattas on the foredeck/mast but happy to be put anywhere I'm needed. Comments: Hi! I'm an experienced inshore and offshore sailor coming from Vancouver, where I regularly race Melges 24s and Farr 30s. I am very comfortable doing pit, bow, mast, and some trim, but I'm happy to be anywhere i'm needed in order to race this event. I was the bow person for the winning team on a J80 in a European university one-design regatta (EDHEC Cup 2023), and this past June I was the bow on the 4th place team at the world university sailing championships on Dolphin 81s, on Lake Garda. Comments: Hi All,
My name is Alex Byczko. I weight 190 - 200lbs. 6'1" I sail and race the 505, F18, and RS Aero. I have campaigned J/24 and match raced (rated 52 in the world 2016) I am well versed in multiple roles on the J/80. I sailed the '22 worlds on Argo III. Very familiar with tuning the boat. My preferred position is trim, main and spin, but am willing to do whatever role is needed. Im an amateur photographer with some very small light weight cameras that can capture some of the intensity the j/80 brings.
My vibe is always positive but not to the point of being annoying. I just want to race and get shit done!
