I have heaps of experience offshore and regattasM including: 14 Sydney hobarts (1 overall win, 1 overall 2nd, 5 divisional wins), 20 or so Sydney Southports, a couple of races from Aust to Japan and heaps more including 2 Australian championship wins in IRC National regattas. I can do most things on the boat but prefer to be in the cockpit nowdays - can do mast if required. - Happy to helm if the opportunity arose but obviously don't expect that in a regatta. I love being part of a good fun crew and enjoy the party afterwards!! Id love to hear from you if you are short - I am coming over anyway but it would be nice to know I have a ride before I get there. Thanks for reading an I look forward to meeting soon Cheers Scottie

Comments: Gooday, I am returning to Antigua for Classics and Sailing Week before a Trans-Atlantic and my 22-years of sporadic experience will culminate into the largest regatta of my life; mostly coastal-racing but I lived aboard and sailed my own yacht for 2-years in southern California and also have 2-years of Coast Guard worldwide sea-time, to include 2-years in the Alaskan Bearing Sea (Google my name). With the character of a military officer, families have entrusted me without oversight on 4-day weekend trips; I just completed the largest Heineken regatta of my life in Saint Martin, followed by commanding a friend's boat south through the Caribbean Sea to Martinique. My USCG career began as an engineer, I graduated into marine electronics and my final 12-years was piloting helicopters for search/rescue and drug-interdiction; my heart is happiest at sea, especially peaceful while sailing. My blow-boat lifestyle has traversed the Great Lakes, the surrounding waters of Dubai and Puerto Rico; Hawaii and French Polynesia, I also explored Antarctica on an 11-day expedition. I am a trained SCUBA dive instructor and Emergency First Responder, with a sharp eye cultivated by leading an aviation safety program for 2-years; my interest in the culinary arts is drawing me towards formal schooling, I know enough about most things to be dangerously helpful. I am the cleanest and most organized individual, but not the typical pilot personality; around deserving characters I am a goof, and am always keenly aware of appropriate timing. As a distinct professional, respect from others comes naturally; my word is my honor, I am dependable and creatively energetic. As a young 44-year old I summit and run mountains, cycle trails and deadly roads; while loving doubles beach volleyball, stamina and endurance are rampid. I have numerous hobbies, am healthy and do not possess an addictive personality. iWill give 111% crewing for good people, aboard a fast yacht; supplementing an effective team, and remain comedic regardless of the competition. I am financially independent but will not pay out of principle for the voluntary skill-sets I bring, repairing systems and working with my hands is what I yearn for during my travels; adventure is the venture, please? Ciao, Greg +12313929209

Comments: Come join our internationally experienced Canadian racing crew of 6, as we embark on our first season at Antigua Race Week 2019. We are looking for 3 crew members. You must have some basic sailing experience, willing to learn and able to enjoy a thrilling ride. Our boat will be white sailing (no spinnaker but downwind pole). When the gun goes, we race....when we finish, we enjoy and revel in the day. Price: $3,200 USD includes you on the team for the regatta and a sleeping berth. Food and drink expenses will be shared. The boat is brand new and was commissioned January 2019.
