Comments: Originally from Long Island, NY, residing in Maryland, I am a motivated and competitive sailor with over nine years’ racing experience. Events include the 2017 Pensacola to Havana, 2019 Trans-Superior.
I possess a keen desire to contribute to the success of a racing crew, having worked pit, jib, main, spinnaker, sewer, guy and helm in races of various formats. I have crewed sloops, yawls and cutters ranging from J/24 to Frers 46 and welcome the opportunity to join a team seeking a sure and active participant.

Comments: I have more than 20+ years of sailing experience, owning 3 boats in that time. The first was a Catalina 27 , then a Watkins 27, I'm on my third boat now a 1985 9.2 meter S2 aftcock pit, with a Yanmar 3gmf engine as such I'm pretty good working on a diesel. I'm ASA 101,103,104, and 105 certified, I'm a good cook, I speak enough Spanish to get by and I'm familiar with the waters around Isla Mujeres as I have crewed on some charters down there around the island and over to Holbox. I've sailed on bareboat cruises through out the Carabbean . The BVI's , the Grenadeans , St Martin , St Barts , my racing experience has been on the lakes in Arkansas but I don't see that as a problem. Comments: Local racer from Ft Myers, was hoping to enter race with my Bristol 35.5, but unable to overcome crew and prep logistics obstacles. Looking for crew position. I have been racing locally for 8 years, but low key races. I am competent at most things but not expert at any, have raced spinnaker class before and took fleet champion, more due to consistency than great skill. Have offshore experience, crewed New England to BVI on Swan 46, Virginia to Bermuda and back solo on a Cape Dory 26 (that was hard), and skippered doublehanded transAtlantic from Virginia to Ireland. Scheduled to take SOLAS course in February, and am a physician so can easily get first aid course certified if needed. Able to cover my own costs. Don't smoke, drink or do drugs. If drinking onboard is a priority, I am probably not your right crew. My priorities as skipper have been safety first, fun second, no yelling but sail fast. Hoping for similar philosophy. Prefer to meet in person and if possible sail or race together before committing. References available.

Comments: I’ve had the pleasure of participating in this race many times. Sadly this year, my regular boat Anthie is not racing. I have lots of round the boules experience at every position. Many offshore races and boat deliveries. I’m 67 years young, in great health, 5’10” 185 lbs. former national champion gymnast. Most importantly, I “play well with others.” Currently hold a Masters 50 ton license.
