Emerald II (CAN 40190)
|
Found out via Yachtscoring of the accusation of breaking Rule 69.1.a well after the completion of the race - having received no notification prior to the alleged accusation. PIC of Emerald II has maliciously and in an unsportsmanlike conduct, without merit; filed a false accusation of a breach of Rule 69.1.a. Given the severity of the accusation, causing harm to personal and professional reputation as an active racer and sponsor of sailing events on the lake including the Lake Ontario 300. |

I recently received information from an eye witness that both True Blue (a J105)
and Sea Ya (a farr 39) were seen using their engines to facilitate changing their sail plans during the onset of the squall near the ford shoal mark (about 3 miles from the mark).
The NOR 1.5.2 makes it very clear that this is an illegal use of the engine.
I cannot find a protest form on your website so please take this as my official protest form.
I personally saw true blue with no sails at all and seemingly in perfect control in the squall
(we were wiping out and changing sails). I was now close enough to see them with their engines on.
