Please mark 6PM, Friday, September 6th for the 2019 Beer Cans Awards Party at EYC.
Come with your crew to party & celebrate the 2019 Beer Cans Race Season.
Party with your fellow skippers, racers and the Race Committee volunteers who help make Friday Night Racing possible. The EYC Race Committee will provide a complimentary buffet with beer and wine as we announce this season's award winners and provide activities for you & your crew to win more giveaways! Including, by popular demand, a round or two of the exclusive Friday Night Captain's Bingo.
In order to estimate the numbers attending, please RSVP to race.committee@eastportyc.org with the number of crew-guests joining you at the party. The EYC Race Committee looks forward to seeing all of you at this end of season Beer Cans Awards Party!

SI Amendment 1 for EYC Friday Night Beer Can Races - Hello EYC Friday Night Beer Can Racers,
There has been an amendment to the Sailing Instructions (SIs) for 2019 EYC Friday Night Beer Can Races. SI Amendment 1 is attached and reflects changesin SI 6 & SI 10.
This Amendment addresses the following -
- Fixes a typo in SI 2
- Adds One Design breakouts for J-80s and J-30s
- Adjusts the PHRF separation between Spin 1 - Spin 2
- Simplifies the number of flags that RC flies during the start sequence
- Defines the flag that each class flies
We want to thank you for signing up for the 2019 EYC Friday Night Beer Can Series and hope to see you on the water every Friday. After racing, come to EYC for the barbecue party, winner results, first place awards, raffles, and sponsor give-aways.

Fawcett's Friday Night Beer Cans Racing - Sailing Instructions Posted - Hello Friday Night Racers!
Thank you for signing up for this year's Fawcett's Friday Night Beer Cans Racing - we are looking forward to another fantastic year, and can't wait to see everyone on the water very soon. In fact, the first race of the year is now less than two weeks away!
Note that the Sailing Instructions have been posted. Additionally, now that the class splits have been defined, boats racing in the handicap fleets have been sorted into the appropriate Spinnaker 1 / Spinnaker 2 and Non-Spinnaker 1 / Non-Spinnaker 2 classes.
We will see you on the water!
