Rhody Regatta - POSTPONED -

Postponed to July 1st.

1st Annual Rhody Regatta to be postponed to July 1, 2023 due to weather and will be combined with the Newport Cup.

Boats will need to register for each regatta to qualify. Each regatta will be scored separately.

IMPORTANT INFO - Please Read -

Hi everyone,

As we all know by now, we have weather coming in this weekend.  The forecast is for 20mph sustained winds on Saturday out of the NE with potential gusts into the 30's.  So, we are watching things closely and mapping out our plan for the race Saturday.

As of today, we had about 15 boats registered but we already know of one or two that won't be in the race due to damage last weekend. 

So, we are also considering how to split the classes and determine what courses to use.   

We are thinking of a short in the east passage race for the small boats.

The larger boats should be good to go around the island.

We plan to announce the plan today, (Friday).

We will encourage everyone's attendance at the skippers meeting Saturday at 8:30am.

If there is a big fallout, we should be considering a postponement and alternative date.

We are also going to post that we reserve the right to add new courses and change the start or finish area.

The fundraising party will go on as planned.
