If you gave me your information this morning, you do not need to make another appointment.

Regatta Apparel through CRSA - Hello J/70 Competitors,
I have had numerous questions about regatta gear, so wanted to clarify that merchandise is available ONLY through the CRSA online store: https://stores.coralreefsailing.com/j70worlds/shop/home. There will be no apparel for purchase onsite during the regatta.
Skippers, don't forget to use your code for one free, long sleeve tech shirt. Order by midnight EDT tomorrow, and your kit will be ready for pick up at registration. Thereafter, it will be shipped to you for a nominal fee. The store will remain open for two weeks after the end of the regatta.
There's a wide variety of offerings. I hope that everyone can find something by which to remember the 2021 J/70 World Championship at California Yacht Club.

2021 J/70 World Championship - Inspection and Equipment Reminders - Hello J/70 World Championship Competitors!
A few reminders and clarifications from the Event Technical Committee:
First, if you have not already done so, please sign up for a Boat Inspection apointment and a Sail Inspection appointment. Remember to sign up for inspection times so that you can assure that a minimum of two crew are available to manage the boat through inspection and at least one crew member who can assist with your sail inspection at the scheduled time.
Boat Inspection Appointments: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/8050548ABAE23A6FB6-boat
Sail Inspection Appointments: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/8050548ABAE23A6FB6-sail
Second, remember that we have provided a pre-inspection check list here: https://j70ica.org/pre-inspection/ You can use this checklist online or print it out for reference purposes; it is for your personal use in preparing for the event, it is not required to complete inspection.
Third, in response to a few questions, the IJ70CA Technical Committee has clarified that "kelp sticks" and similar debris-clearing devices are classified as tools — and as such may be carried aboard and used. The J/70 Class Rules FAQ #40 addresses this question. Find it on the IJ70CA Class Rules website: https://j70ica.org/rules
Good luck with your preparation and training for this great event. Feel free to reach out if you have other questions. I look forward to seeing you all in Marina Del Rey in a couple of weeks.
