Bare Leg ( 5461) |
vs |
WaveRunner (Can 4282)
|
Bare leg was on starboard. The bow woman of bare leg identified that wave runner was approaching on port and began hailing starboard. There was no indication of wave runners hearing or seeing bare leg. Bare Legs bow woman hailed again and again there was no indication from wave runner of their intention to duck or tack or that they had seen us but were attempting a cross. The bow woman continued to hail starboard until the helm of bare leg saw the front of wave runner immediately in front of their bow and tacked to avoid collision. This was a risky maneuver and potentially dangerous maneuver as bare leg had to move so quickly to avoid the collision. The protest flag was raised immediately after and alerted wave runner to their protest. Wave runner did not do their spin to recognize their breach of the rule. |
