SWRS Chicago: Sunday Race Update - Chicago Racers:
Race updates today are as follows:
- N over A is displayed from the main flagpole at Monroe for all Classes
- Due to the sustained winds and high waves, conditions are not going to allow safe racing today
- Complimentary docking at Chicago Yacht Club Belmont and Monroe Stations is extended to Tuesday, June 13th
- Helly Hansen Awards are scheduled for 1230 at CYC Monroe Station
- The Regatta Bar is complimentary and opens at 1200 at CYC Monroe Station
- Distance Racers may pick up a complimentary bottle of rum today from Sailing World

Race #1 6/10/23 DISTANCE PHRF 1 & 2 - Race #1 for the Distance race PHRF section 1 & 2 has been abandoned based on RRS 35.
35 RACE TIME LIMIT AND SCORES If one boat starts, sails the course and finishes within the time limit for that race, if any, all boats that finish shall be scored according to their finishing places unless the race is abandoned. If no boat finishes within the race time limit, the race committee shall abandon the race.

Docking and Parking - We welcome all the visiting sailors who have already started arriving to Chicago Yacht Club. A quick reminder that per the Notice of Race, docking included in the entry fee starts Thursday, June 8th and all docking arrangements at both Monroe and Belmont stations before that need to be made by emailing dockmaster@chicagoyachtclub.org. Docking rates are $3.50/ foot per day for non-members ($1.50/ ft for members).
Parking is not provided for visitors driving to Belmont station. There is a public parking lot just to the South of the marina that has daily parking passes for $17 that you can pay at a kiosk for pre-pay through Parking.com.”

FINAL CHECKLIST BEFORE REGISTRATION
Complete ALL mandatory registration items in advance:
1. CREW MEMBER ONLINE SIGNED WAIVER IS REQUIRED. Be sure each of your crew email addresses are correct and they receive your request to sign their waiver required for eligibility. They may need to check their spam folder. Email regattas@sailingworld.com with any questions. 2. ONLINE PAYMENTS/WAIVERS – Owner waivers are required. Please pay your entry fee as well before checking in.
3. INSURANCE – All boats are required to have proof of insurance to compete in this event. If you have any issues or concerns, please address them before joining us on the water for safe racing.
4. CLASS MEMBERSHIP - One Design classes must have valid current class membership.

The Quantum Sails Service Team is available to support all sailors with overnight sail repair. Drop off and pick up is available at the Quantum Van parked in the CYC Monroe parking lot (8am-5pm).

Race and cruising sails may be donated at CYC Belmont and Monroe over the weekend to be recycled for Junior Programs or upcycled with Sea Bags.
