San Diego NOOD - Cancelled -

It is with great disappointment that Organizers of the Helly Hansen National Offshore One-Design Regatta series in conjunction with San Diego Yacht Club and Coronado Yacht Club have to cancel the 2020 edition of the San Diego NOOD. Weeks ago, the event was postponed a second time in anticipation of eased COVID-19 regulations regarding recreational boating, however the restrictions have not yet eased, so at this time the 2020 San Diego NOOD is cancelled.

The NOOD has been a part of the San Diego sailing calendar since 1998 so as you can imagine the decision to cancel was not made lightly. We are now turning our focus on planning the March 19-21, 2021 regatta and Sailing World and the NOOD Regatta management team look forward to returning to San Diego to continue the long-running tradition that is San Diego NOOD.

All paid entries will be refunded and we will follow up with specific details regarding refunds shortly. Thank you for entering the regatta, we look forward to seeing you next year.

San Diego NOOD - IMPORTANT UPDATE -

The NOOD Regatta event management team, in collaboration with co-hosts San Diego Yacht Club and Coronado Yacht Club, have agreed to again reschedule the San Diego NOOD to Sept. 25 to 27, 2020. Regatta planning remains fluid while we continue to closely monitor the state and local COVID-19 situation. It is our hope that crew restrictions and regulations ease to the point where a safe on-the-water event can be conducted within official guidelines.  

We will transfer all current entries to the new dates, Sept 25-27, 2020. If these dates do not work for you please email us as soon as possible (nood@sailingworld.com) and we can refund you in full.

SD NOOD Postponed -

Hello Sailors,

As a result of growing concerns over Covid-19 and after conferring with our host clubs, San Diego Yacht Club and Coronado Yacht Club, we are all in agreement that for the health and safety of everyone involved, Sailing World will postpone the San Diego NOOD with the intent to hold it at a later date.  The San Diego NOOD will not be held on March 20-22, 2020 but we will work closely with our host clubs to find a date that will work for us all and try to get that scheduled as soon as possible.  In the meantime, we will refund entries for the current dates with hopes that you can join us again once the new regatta dates are determined.
